ABVP attacks state higher education office

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Activists of the ABVP, student wing of the BJP, today attacked the office of State Higher Edcuation Council, demanding the Andhra Pradesh government to cancel the permission of minority Bachellor of Education (BEd) colleges as they were violating the rules in the state.

In protest against the government's recent decision of increasing management quota seats in minority BEd colleges, the activists argued with the officials at the office premises and destroyed furniture and documents.

They demanded cancellation of the permission of minority BEd colleges which were not filling 75 per cent seats with minority students.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested the ABVP activists.
