5 murder accused sentenced to life imprisonment by court

Faizabad, Oct 10 (UNI) A court today pronounced life imprisonment to five persons accused in a murder case here.

According to the prosecution, on June 18, 2002 Hausla Prasad Pandey was killed by Rajnath, Kalika, Keshav Nath, Ashok and Dharmenra near his house in Purakalandar police station area.

Besides, the accused also made an attempt to kill his wife Kalavati.

On the basis of evidence and testimony, District Court Judge Rajendra Prasad Shukla sentenced all the five accused to life imprisonment and imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 on each one of them.

The other accused Nirmal and Ghanshyam were released for want of evidence.
