US detected 4.2 magnitude tremor in North Korea
WASHINGTON, Oct 9 (Reuters) The US Geological Survey said today it had detected a 4.2 magnitude tremor in North Korea at 1035 hrs (0705 hrs IST) local time, 385 km northeast of the capital, Pyongyang.
The USGS Web site gave the exact location of the tremor as 41.311 degrees North latitude and 129.114 degrees East longitude at a depth of 0 km.
North Korea has said it conducted a nuclear test at an underground facility within the past several hours.
