Tourist complex to come up at Kanjli wetland
Kapurthala, Oct 9 (UNI) Punjab Tourism Minister Jagmohan Singh Kang today laid the foundation stone of the Kanjli Wet land Tourist complex at the famous Kanjli picnic spot here.
The Rs two crore tourist complex, which include a restaurant, the children's park and a guest house, would be completed within next four months, he said on the occasion.
Mr Kang that state had received a central grant of Rs 30 crore to promote tourism in the state and Amirtisar, Patiala and Kapurthala had been selected as tourist destination centers in view of the heritage buildings and historic importance of these towns.
Deputy Commissioner Raminder Singh said that the state government had prepared a plan to repair the heritage buildings like Sainik School, Moorish mosque and Shalimar garden to promote tourist in the region.
