Three die after inhaling poisonous gas from sulphur tank

Vapi, Oct 9 (UNI) Three workers, who were cleaning a sulphur tank in a factory here, died after inhaling poisonous gas, sources said here today.

According to sources, three workers Sunil Yadav(23), Ram Saran Yadav (23) and Jivan Ram (40) went inside the liquid sulphur tank of Y S Industries, operating in plot 707 of the GIDC complex, for cleaning purposes.

Sunil Yadav went inside the tank first, as he did not turn up, the two others also went in. All three died due to inhaling of poisonous gas, the sources said.

According to sources, Sunil Yadav and Ram Saran Yadav are from Bihar and Jivan Ram is from Uttar Pradesh.

GIDC police is investigating the case.
