Sensex up 50.51 pts in intra-noon trade

Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange, in a day of roller coaster ride, again turned positive and was trading 50.51 points up at 12,423.32 from the previous close, as buying intensified in few select stocks.

Second quarter results and North Korea's nuclear tests caused some tremors in early trade. However, the cautious index has again retreated in comfort zone. All the sectoral indices on BSE were trading in green.

Major gainers on the BSE-30 index were Infosys, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim Industries, Cipla, TCS, Hindalco, ONGC, ITC, BHEL and Wipro -- all up between 0.75 to 2.24 per cent.

The losers were Satyam Computers, HDFC, Reliance Energy, Reliance COmmunications, HDFC Bank, ICICI, NTPC, Dr Reddy's Lab -- all down between 0.04 to 49.76.
