S Korea says ties with Japan must look to future

SEOUL, Oct 9 (Reuters) South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun said today that Seoul and Tokyo should not dwell on the past in their relations but focus on the future.

But, speaking to reporters after talks with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, he said that relations could return to deadlock if Abe were to visit Tokyo's Yasukuni war shrine which is seen as glorifying Japan's militarist past.
