Robbers decamp with jewellery worth 6.61 lakhs

Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) A goldsmith has been looted of jewellery worth 6.61 lakhs by five unidentified miscreants at Madan House, Chira bazar in south Mumbai.

One Mr Faizu Rahman Sheikh (22), was at his residence with some of his employees, when around 2115 hours, late last night five unidentified miscreants entered his house and threatened him and his employees' with choppers and revolvers. Later, they decamped with jewellery and a mobile phone, collectively worth Rs 6.61 lakh, police said.

Further investigations are on, they added.
