Nickel, copper rises on fresh industrial demand with LME
Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) Nickel rose by Rs 50 per kg on better buying support together with metals on fresh industrial demand in line with London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section: copper heavy shot up by Rs 700 per quintal while copper utensils and brass cuttings rose by Rs 300 each per quintal with brass utensils and aluminium utensils by Rs 200 each per quintal on increased of fresh demand.
In non-ferrous category: copepr wire bars and zinc slab sh ot up by Rs 800 and Rs 200 per quintal respetively while aluminium ingots and lead ingots hiked by Rs 100 each per quintal on reduced stock supply.
Nickel cathode also shot up by Rs 50 per kg on heavy demand.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,500, Copper utensils - Rs 32,500, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,800.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,100, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, Zinc slab - Rs 19,400, Lead ingots - Rs 6,900, Tin slab - Rs 520 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,880 (per kg).
