Man kills friend over the issue of illicit affair

Surat, Oct 9 (UNI) Raju Rathod, a resident of Amroli in the city killed his friend Vinod Rathod, over an issue developed between the two, on Saturday, Katargam police said.

According to Katargam police Raju had a quarrel with Vinod on Saturday night in the later's residence, after which Raju had beaten Vinod with a wooden stick, on his head, killing him on the spot.

He also attacked Vinod's wife and son. They were admitted to Civil Hospital with severe injuries.

According to a statement given by Vinod's wife to Katargam police, Vinod had an affair with Raju's wife and both continued with their relation even after Raju's warning.

Raju is absconding and Katargam police is conducting an investigation.
