Malaysia's Berjaya says considering Cosway buyout

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Reuters) Malaysian conglomerate Berjaya Group Bhd is considering a proposal to buy out its separately listed consumer-products subsidiary, Cosway Corp Bhd , Berjaya said on Monday.

''The company wishes to inform that it is considering a proposal to take Cosway private. No decision has been taken to date,'' Berjaya said in a stock-exchange statement.
