Injured Sorensen, Bendtner out of Denmark squad

COPENHAGEN, Oct 9 (Reuters) Denmark goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen and striker Nicklas Bendtner will miss Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier in Liechtenstein after getting injured in Saturday's match against Northern Ireland, the Danish Football Association (DBU) said today.

Sorensen injured a shoulder and was substituted 22 minutes from the end of Saturday's goalless match and was replaced by Jesper Christiansen.

Christiansen is expected to keep his place, with Brondby keeper Casper Ankergren called up to the squad as cover.

Bendtner injured ligaments in his left knee and will be replaced by Jesper Bech or Dennis Sorensen.

Striker Dennis Rommedahl, who missed the Northern Ireland match, is also doubtful for the Liechtenstein game.
