HP government considering separate funds for hospitals, says CM
Shimla, Oct 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said his government was considering a proposal to create separate funds for the maintenance and functioning of hospitals in the state.
The government has created a vast network of health institutions and several more were being sanctioned besides construction of new buildings for the smooth functioning of the hospitals, he said during his visit to the Kullu Regional Hospital.
Mr Singh said separate funds for the maintenance and functioning of state hospitals to provide efficient services to the patients visiting these hospitals.
He also inspected the upcoming new building of the Kullu hospital and directed the authorities to ensure its completion on time.
The completion of the new building would provide health facilities not only to the patients of the district but also people residing in the adjoining Lahaul and Spiti district, he said.
