Bail plea of 13 accused in sex scandal dismissed

Chandigarh, Oct 9: A local court today here dismissed the bail application of the 13 accused in the sensational Srinagar sex scandal case that had rocked Jammu and Kashmir.

The bail was denied by District and Sessions Judge B S Mehndiratta, who had kept his ruling on the bail application reserved for today after listening to the arguments of the prosecution and the defense on October 3.

The 13 accused are presently lodged in the Burail central Jail here, after the hearing of the case against them was shifted from Srinagar to Chandigarh last month following a Supreme Court order after the Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association had passed a resolution not to defend any of the accused.
