AP Govt to distribute one lakh acres land on Nov 1: Minister

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation Dharmana Prasada Rao today said the State Government would distribute one lakh acres of land to the landless poor in the State on November one to commemorate the completion of Golden Jubilee celebrations of the State's formation.

Talking to newspersons here after a review meeting at the two-day Regional Conference of Collectors and Joint Collectors and other officials of Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nizamabad and Nalgonda Districts, he said the third-phase programme of land distribution would be completed on November one.

He said economic package would be given to the beneficiaries for the development of land and a tie-up with Rural Infrastructure Dervelopment Fund, Scheduled Castes Corporation, Backward class Corporation and Indira Prabha Scheme, would be arranged.

Action would be taken for speedy disposal of the cases, he added.
