AIADMK leader wants CM to announce Deepavali bonus

Puducherry, Oct 9 (UNI) AIADMK state secretary and MLA A Anbazhagan today urged Chief Minister N Rangasamy to take immediate steps to announce the disbursement of bonus to the employees for Deepavali.

In a statement here, he demanded that 50 per cent bonus without any ceiling be given to the workers of all mills coming under the Pondicherry Textile Corporation.

He also sought announcement of ten per cent more bonus to cooperative employees, employees of government undertakings, than the bonus given last year and Rs 2,000 be provided to labourers of the unorganised sector for Deepavali.

Apart from ten kg of raw rice, the AIADMK leader demanded that ten kg free rice, one kg sugar and two kg palmoil be given free of cost to all ration cards holders.
