Renuka Chaudhary visits Pinjore Cultural Festival

Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) Former Haryana chief minister late Bansi Lal had made significant contribution in bringing the state on the tourist map of India and he is even today remembered for remarkable development in the field of tourism in the state.

This was stated by the Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Chaudhary while speaking in the Five-Day Pinjore Cultural Festival at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore today.

Appreciating the present state government led by the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, she said that the governemnt of Haryana had made a number of landmarks in the field of development for every section of society during a short span of one-and-a-half-years.

Mrs Renuka Chaudhary said that the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the state Tourism Minister Mrs Kiran Choudhry are committed to develop the Haryana Tourism to a great extent and Mrs Kiran Choudhry has organised this Pinjore Heritage Festival for keeping alive the ancient cultural heritage and the Mughal lifestyles which is a commendable step by her and the Department of Haryana Tourism. She said that on the fourth day of this festival also, the visitors were very impressed to see variety cultural programmes and different kinds of bazars projecting the Mughal style culture.

Welcoming the Union Minister, Mrs Kiran Choudhry said that the presence of Mrs Renuka Chaudhary in this festival had boosted up our morale to take further strides for promoting tourism in the state in a big way and she as well as the Department of Haryana Tourism are very grateful to her for gracing this festival with her benign presence.

Expressing her gratitude towards Haryana Chief Minister for assigning her Department of Tourism which had its own significant identity in the country, Mrs Kiran Choudhry said that Late Bansi Lal, the creator of Haryana also gave Highway Tourism in the state a new impetus during his regime.

She said that she had been able to organise this festival with inspiration of the Haryana Chief Minister and efforts were being made to keep alive the rapidly disappearing the ancient culture and heritage of the country.
