Rajya Sabha member Kalraj Mishra elected president of UPOA
Lucknow, Oct 8 (UNI) Rajya Sabha member Kalraj Mishra has been elected president of the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association (UPOA), while former senior bureaucrat P L Punia as Senior Vice-president.
According to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Noida recently, Munawar Anzar has been elected as General Secretary, while Vijay Bahadur Pathak as Additional Secretary of the UPAO.
The new president, Mr Mishra represents archery association, while Mr Anzar, UP Judo association.
UPOA's Additional secretary, Mr Pathak here today said 28 out of 34 state associations and 42 of 49 district Olympic associations participated in the AGM.
Other members elected in the meeting are: vice presidents; K L Gupta, Dr Kashmir Singh, Chowdhury Dara Singh, Shamshuddin, Bharatendra Singh, Lallu Singh, Santosh Mishra, Syed azim Ali, Lal Chand Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Dr U K Mishra and C K Sharma.
Associated vice-presidents: L D Shula, Ehteshamul Islam, Dharampal Garh and C P Kakkar.
Treasurer; N K Pandey, Jt. Treasurer: Pawan Goel.
Joint Secretaries: Sajit Ali, Jitendra Sharma, Ms Bula Ganguly, Manish Kakkar, Hasrat Khan Bharat Bhushan.
State Sports Association ( executive members): Mohammad Aslam han, Brig. V K Ghai, R C Rastogi, Anup Gurani, I D Sharma and N D Sharma.
District Olympic association (executive members); T P Singh, Surendra Singh, H K Paliwal, Awadh Naresh and Narendra Sharma.
