Lady ZP member, sarpanch, deputy sarpanch join BJP with followers

Panaji, Oct 8 (UNI) North Goa Zilla Parishad member Anjali Malik (independent) from Calangute, Pilerne Sarpanch Ramakant Malik and deputy sarpanch Aswani Shivolkar along with 500 of their followers have joined BJP here today.

President of Goa BJP unit, Rajendra Arlakar, handed over the membership admission form to the concerned in presence of north Goa MP Shripad Naik and the opposition leader in the assembly Manohar Parrikar at the party headquarters this evening.

Later, the leaders addressed them and advised them to play a vital role in the coming elections to the State Legislative Assembly.

Interacting with the media, the new members said they were impressed with the functioning of the BJP government under the leadership of Manohar Parrikar and had decided to strengthen his hands in the coming elections.
