BSP releases list of 45 candidates for Punjab assembly polls

Ludhiana, Oct 8 (UNI) The Bhaujan Samaj Party (BSP) today released its first list of 45 candidates for the 117 assembly seats in Punjab for the elections scheduled to be held in February next year.

The list was released to mediapersons by Punjab BSP president Avtar Singh Karimpuri here.

Prominent amongst those who figure in the list are Mr Karimpuri who will be contesting from the Mahilpur (reserve) seat in Hoshiarpur district.

Former Lok Sabha member Mohan Singh Phalianwala has been nominated to contest from Guru Harsahai (reserve) in Ferozpur district.

The BSP, which will be contesting the polls on its own individual strength, is the first party in Punjab to announces its nominees.
