Air service to Kargil: Azad discuss it with Centre
Srinagar, Oct 8: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said he would soon take up with the Centre the issue of starting an air service between Srinagar and Kargil during winter.
Every effort would be made for initiating an air service between Srinagar and Kargil during winter months and the matter would be taken up with the Union Civil Aviation Minister and the authorities concerned, he told the people at Kargil yesterday.
Mr Azad said his government was doing everything possible to meet the requirements of the people.
The provision of basic amenities to the people, especially those living in far-flung and remote areas, have already been made in the development plans, he added.
