Villagers rush to police station due to mild tremors in Badwani
Badwani, MP, Oct 7 (UNI) Aghast by a spate of mild tremors and rumblings that rocked Panchpula Dakshin village in this district yesterday, villagers today rushed to the police station to seek their assistance for their protection.
''A team of government officials, led by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) and police, were dispatched to the village. The team advised the villagers to exercise patience,'' Collector Arun Tiwari said.
He said such incidents were being reported from Silavad area for the past few days from 0800 hrs to 1000 hrs.
People were advised to stay outside their homes due to irregular arrival of mild tremors and rumblings.
The exact magnitude of temblors was not known, as employees of the Narmada Project Seismographic Station of the Gujarat Government had gone out of the station.
