Uttaranchal Police in Mandi to probe Rangoli Acid case
Mandi, Oct 7 (UNI) A team of Uttaranchal Police officials today arrived in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh to investigate the Rangoli acid case, official sources said.
The officials visited Bhambla village of the district and held discussions with the girl's grandparents in the absence of her parents who had already left for Mumbai for Rangoli's treatment.
On Thursday, an unidentified youth had thrown acid at the elder sister of Bollywood actress, Kangana, and her roommate at their rented house in Dehradun in Uttaranchal.
The officials also met the local people and enquired about the girl's conduct before visiting the house of Avinash Sharma, one of Rangoli's close friend, in Bhamsedu village.
However, they soon left for Solan after failing to meet Mr Sharma who is pursuing his MSc degree from Solan Government College.
