Two seriously injured attempting to nab illicit trader

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu Oct 7 (UNI) Two policemen were seriously injured in a fire accident today, when they attempted to nab an illicit liquor trader, who ran away after throwing a cigarette on the illicit can.

Police said a team lead by Valajapet station Inspector Mani tried to prevent the mishap, but their efforts went in vain.

The injured were identified as Gopi(30), Gnana Guru(29).

They were admitted to the Government Hospital here.

Efforts were on to nab the absconding trader.
