Tripura govt seeks people's cooperation to curb insurgency

Agartala, Oct 7 (UNI) The Tripura government has urged the people to cooperate in eradication of insurgency from the state, following reports that militants could seek support to attack the vulnerable areas.

The state Home Department in a notice informed the people to collect relevant information before providing accommodation to any person of dubious credentials.

The notice also warned the people not to sell old vehicles without collecting the identity of the buyer.

The reports said militants were abetting insurgency from other side of the border to destroy important financial infrastructure and temples thereby creating communal division in the state.
