Sultry climate, monsoon retreats

Kolkata, Oct 07 (UNI) Hot and sultry weather continued to bother Kolkatans as Monsoon has bid adieu to West Bengal.

The Met department said there were no more signs of rains and the monsoon had started retreating.

Officially though, the monsoon will retreat after October 11, they added.

Today's maximum temperature was 34 degree Celsius and the minimum remained at 27 degree Celsius.

The relative humidity was 97 per cent.
