Steps to prevent chikungunya, dengue in C'garh
Raipur, Oct 7 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Government has taken various steps to prevent the outbreak of chikungunya and dengue, which are increasingly spreading to take the form of epidemics in different parts of the country.
The government has sounded an alert across the state, though no cases has been reported so far.
Minister of State for Health Krishnamurthy Bandhi held a meeting with senior officers in this regard yesterday.
During the meeting, directives were issued to Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMOs) of all the districts asking them to take necessary steps to control dengue, chikungunya, malaria and diarrhoea.
Heads of civic bodies were directed to pay special attention for maintaining cleanliness.
Health Secretary B L Agrawal said directives were issued to ensure availability of medicines and doctors and clean drinking water.
