Sagar Apollo Hospital plans on investments in Bahrain
Dubai, Oct 7 (UNI) The Bangalore-based education and healthcare group Sagar Apollo Hospital is planning to make substantial investments in Bahrain.
The group plans to invest 20 million dollars in a joint venture with a local company which it believes can be a potentially profitable partner in Bahrain.
''We hope to import medical equipment and medical consumables from India so as to make the services very cost effective,'' a company official said.
It is also looking into the possibility of establishing a medical school in Bahrain, to help students finish their pre-clinical studies in Bahrain and the remaining programme in India.
The Sagar Group offers 22 professional programmes in allied health, dental and engineering in India and has been in the field of health care and medical education over the past 45 years.
It has established a 300-bed tertiary hospital in Bangalore in association with the Apollo Group, and a second one will be opening shortly, he said.
