Rosewood worth Rs ten lakh seized

Madikeri, Karnataka, Oct 7 (UNI) The district crime branch has seized rosewood, worth Rs ten lakh, kept ready for illegal transportation at Sulugodu village in Virajpet taluk.

Police said three trees were cut from a land belonging to one Savikumar and kept ready for illegal transportation when the seizure was effected, yesterday.

A case had been booked against Savikumar and five others. All the accused were said to be absconding.
