Pak MP discusses minorities' status with BJP President

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Member of Pakistan National Assembly and Director of Pakistan Human Rights Commission Gyan Chand Singh today met BJP President Rajnath Singh to discuss the status of minorities in his country.

Mr Singh, accompanied by Mr Gursharan Singh Lal, Member of North West Frontier Provincial Assembly, met the BJP President for over 45 minutes.

While the BJP President was evasive about the meeting, Mr Singh said ''Though Hindu and Sikh communities felt much better under the regime of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, the situation was not as good as one would have desired.'' Mr Singh told the BJP President that they had also discussed the condition of minorities community in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Constitution, allows selection of four MPs from the Hindu community to its Assembly after they gets elected through a National referendum.
