National Minority Commissioner visits Pondy

Puducherry, Oct 7 (UNI) National Minority Commissioner Suresh A Keshwani visited the Union Territory on October 5 and 6.

According to an offical release here today, Mr Keshwani, during his visit, called on Lt Governor Mukut Mithi, Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Chief Secretary Pradeep Mehra.

He discussed the Constitutional protection given to linguistic minorities in the Union Territory and attended a meeting organised by the Puducherry Social Welfare Department.
