Laxman to lead South Zone

Hyderabad, Oct 7(UNI) Test batsman VVS Laxman will lead South Zone in the Inter Zonal Duleep Trophy cricket championship to be played at Indore and Kolkata from October 19.

The South Zone selection committee , convened by Shivlal Yadav, met here today and Appointed Abdul Azeem as the Coach and Shyam Sunder as the Manager of the team.

The team: VVS Laxman (Capt), Y.Venugopala Rao, Anil Kumble, K.K.Dinesh Karthik (W.K), S.Sreesanth, A.Robin Uthappa, L.Balaji, A.T.Rayudu, P.Pragyan Ojha, Y.Gnaneshwar Rao, N.Arjun Yadav, Mohd Ibrahim Khaleel, S.Badrinath, Swapnil Asnodkar and V.Yo Mahesh.

Stand byes: Bharath Chipli, B.Sumanth, P.Kaushik Reddy and C.Raghu.
