Kingpin of immigration racket arrested
New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Police have arrested an owner of a consultancy firm, who duped several people of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of arranging work and resident visa for the US, Canada and Australia.
Suresh Dutt Sharma was arrested on October 5 on the complaint of several people who had been duped of several lakhs of rupees by him, said the police.
Investigations revealed that Sharma would entangle his 'clients', seeking to immigrate to foreign land, through an agreement where they were made to wait endlessly for an interview from the concerned embassy for immigration.
The accused has been arrested earlier on two occasions, police added.
