Israel Ambassador calls on Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Israel Ambassador David Danieli today called on BJP president Rajnath Singh to apprise him about the latest situation in West Asia.

The meeting which lasted for about half an hour took note of the role played by the two nations in fighting global terror.

Mr Singh said he told the diplomat that the BJP was aware of the compulsions and circumstances which forced them to act in the way they did in Lebanon.

However, Mr Singh told Mr Danieli that his party would have wanted that Israel had not harmed innocent civilians during the operation.
