Double pole for Gaurav Gill, Rayomand Banajee

Chennai, Oct 7 (UNI) Gaurav Gill, Rayomand Banajee, Saran Vikram and Ashwin Sunder shared the honours on the qualifying day for the fourth leg of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2006 at the MMST track at Irrungattukottai here today.

Gaurav Gill of Team Wallace took the pole positions for races one and two in the Formula Rolon Chevrolet category with the fastest lap timings of 01:54:32 and 01:54:868, respectively.

In the Formula LGB Swift category Team Wallace and Team Meco shared the honors with the former taking Pole for Race one and the latter for Race two. Championship leader Saran Vikram topped the grid for Race one with the fastest lap timings of 01:57:29 while Ashwin Sunder took the pole for Race two clocking fastest lap of 01:58:096. In the Formula LGB Hyundai class, it was championship leader Rayomand Banajee of Team Meco who secured double pole positions with timings of 01:59:79 and 02:00:226 for Races one and two, respectively.
