Cornered ULFA calls bandh

Guwahati, Oct 07 (UNI) The Ulfa has called for a dawn to dusk bandh on Monday in protest against the killing of their ''finance controller'' Debajit Konwar by security forces yesterday.

The ULFA in upper Asom received a big jolt with the death of Devajit Konwar, the organisation's mastermind behind all extortions.

He was eliminated at Dofolafaon through a joint operation of army and police.

He was the ''finance controller'' of the Bravao company of the 28th Battalion, the most potent force of the ULFA.
