BSF seizes contraband goods worth 76 lakh in Sept

Agartala, Oct 07 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) at Tripura, Cachar and Mizoram Frontier have seized contraband goods worths Rs 76,49,936, nabbed a NLFT militant collaborator and 141 Indians and Bangladeshis during September.

BSF sources here today said the seized goods contained narcotics, forest goods, sarees and phynsidyl which were being smuggled to Bangladesh from India through Tripura's South, West districts and Asom's Karimganj district.

Besides, the BSF jawans said nine Meghalaya based HNLC outfit cadres with six of their family members have surrendered themselves in the state's North district.
