Ankita, Sathiyan win Sub-Junior events IN TT Championship

Vijayawada, Oct 7 (UNI) Top-seed Ankita Das of North Bengal and G Sathiyan of Tamil Nadu won the finals by defeating third-seed V Sneha of Tamil Nadu and second-seed Sourav Saha of PSPBA to emerge winners of Sub-junior girls and boys events in the National ranking Table Tennis championship played here tonight.

Ankita dominated the proceedings right from the beginning.

Though she lost the second set to Sneha, but went on to win the remaining three sets, 11-9,9-11,11-3,12-10,12-10.

Ankita bagged the title for second time in a row. Last year, she won the Championship at Thiruvananthapuram.

Sourav, however, lost to Sathiyan in a tough fight.
