Activities of pharmacy to be scanned
Imphal, Oct 7 (UNI) The All Manipur Anti Drug Association (AMADA) has decided to check the activities of the pharmacists in the state.
The organisation in a statement here said it had been seizing spurious liquor sold in the state and have launched a massive drive against those involed with the sale of drugs and tablets.
It also said medicinal tablets like Spasmo Proxyvon were used as drugs by many youths in the state.
The AMADA and the Unemployed Pharmacists' Association of Manipur (UPAM) would also monitor the activities of the pharmacists, it added.
Several pharmacies were selling generic medicines harmful to the people and also were selling unbranded medicines, AMADA members said.
AMADA had asked all the pharmacists to display the registration numbers of their shops and were requested to sell medicines with proper prescriptions from registered practitioners.
