16 model villages coming up in nort Kashmr at a cost of Rs 19.20 cr
Srinagar, Oct, 7 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken up the construction of 16 model villages in Baramulla district of north Kashmir at a total cost of Rs 19.20 crores.
An official spokesman said besides these model villages, development work to the tune of Rs 16.51 crores is presently under execution in district under Rural Development Programmes.
The schemes included SGRY, IAY, PHGSY, BADP with a registered Expenditure of Rupees 7.5 crores.
He said under the Haryali Programme, water shed development has been started in four Tehsils of Gurez, Uri, Tangmarg and Baramulla at a total cost of Rs 12 crore, besides, under SGSY programme seven new Roads have been taken up and 815 approved works were started under CDF out of which 387 works have been completed and the remaining works are under execution at different stages.
He said that other various schemes in Rural Development Programmes can revolutionise the economic conditions of Rural populace for which the officers have to make concerted efforts.
