12 killed, 9 injured in road mishap

Lucknow, Oct 7: As many as 12 people were killed and nine others injured after a speeding vehicle rammed into a tanker in Faizabad district today.

The accident took place on Sultanpur-Faizabad highway under Beekapur police station area, when the vehicle was on way to Faizabad, killing eleven people on the spot and injuring ten others.

The injured, all natives of Bharat Kund area in Faizabad district, were rushed to hospital.Later, a woman passenger succumbed to injuries.
