Sensex open marginally up
Mumbai Oct 06 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive index today opened with a marginal positive gap, however it soon touched a high of 12,434.22 on firm global cues.
Currently sensex is trading up 33 points as Capital Goods and Consumer Durables sector notice buying activity.
Capital Goods is trading up by 1.36 per cent and Consumer Durables is up by 1.30 per cent, whereas Metals sector is up by 1.79 per cent.
Major gainers on the index are Hindalco, Guajrat Ambuja, Reliance Communications, L&T and Tata Steel all up between 1.14 to 2.20 per cent.
Besides the losers on the index are HLL, ITC, HDFC, Tata Motors, WIpro, Hero Honda and Satyam Computers all down between 0.23 to 1.18 per cent.
