Russian delegation calls on Punjab CM
Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) A five-member delegation led by Russian Ambassador Vyacheslav Trubnikov today called on Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh here and evinced keen interest to strengthen economic ties with Punjab, thereby exporting sports goods, hand-tools, leather goods, cycle parts and carpets from the State to Russian Federation.
The Chief Minister assured Mr Trubnikov that the Punjab Government would extend full support and cooperation to promote bi-lateral trade and commerce activities with Russian Federation.
The Russian Ambassador also visited Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jalandhar and met with a number of entrepreneurs, industrialists and traders.
He commended the spectacular development in the field of industry and hoped that both Punjab and Russian Federation could share their experiences to mutually benefit their economies.
