Power production in ctps stopped due to scarcity of water

Bokaro, Oct 6 (UNI) Power generation of Chandrapura Thermal Power Station of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) was stopped today following disruption of water supply to the plant.

According to DVC sources, the intake well of the plant could not pump water from the Damodar river due to its strong current.

Early today two dodgers sank in the river which were pressed into service for embankment, the sources said adding only one could be retrived so far.

Generally, the intake well pumps water from the river which is stored in reservoir. Then the water is used for the plant as well use for families in the campus.
