No decision likely today on Iran sanctions: US

INCIRLIK, Turkey, Oct 6: The six nations gathering in London today to discuss Iran's nuclear programme are not expected to make a decision on imposing sanctions against Tehran because of U S Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's late arrival, the U S State department said.

State department spokesman Sean McCormick said, ''We don't have the time'' to make a decision because Ms Rice is arriving late as a result of a mechanical problem with her military aircraft and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has to attend a Russian cabinet meeting (afterwards).
