Mahurat of first ever film on Siddhivinayak by Asha Bhosale
Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) Singing legend Asha Bhosale performed the mahurat ceremony of 'Sri Siddhivinayak Mahima' the first ever film based on Siddhivinayak the deity of millions of worshippers throughout the globe last evening at the Siddhivinayak temple in here.
Arun Nalavade, well known Marathi stage film artist who played protaganist in the internationally acclaimed Oscar nominated film 'Shwaas' makes his directorial debut with the film.
Speaking on the occasion Asha Bhosale said, ''There is nothing to say. I am glad that you have called me as a guest in God's own house. People have a lot of faith in Siddhivinayak and so this film is being made.'' Talking about the film Arun Nalavade said, ''Sincerely speaking I was busy with some other projects and did not want to direct the film but restrict myself only to acting in the film. But on second thoughts I realised that we invoke Lord Ganesha before starting any new assignment or work and here was an offer of making a debut as Director of a film based on Lord himself. I considered this as a God sent opportunity and accepted it.
I was also encouraged by a well written and comprehensive script of the film.'' Shubham Cinevision which is producing the film is engaging the most modern technology to ensure a high quality production supported by regaling music and realistic script. While most of the film will be shot on outdoor scenic locations of Western Maharashtra such as Lonavala, 15 percent will take place at Siddhivinayak Mandir, Prabhadevi, itself.
The script of the film is based on four short stories including two stories based on real life experiences of devotees and compiled with a common thread. There is no place for superstitions in the film which is purely philanthropic the producer claimed.
