Maharashtra Government to allot more land to SEBI
Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Vilasrao Deshmukh, said here today that the State government would seriously look into the SEBI's request to allot it more land to house quarters for its senior managers.
Speaking after the inauguration of 'SEBI Bhawan' by Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh here today, Mr Deshmukh, said that the State government has already given its approval for allotting a plot of land to SEBI for its proposed plan to establish an institute at Panvel and now it will seriously consider the SEBI's deamnd to allot it land for the construction of quarters for some of senior managerial staff of SEBI.
The request to this effect was made by the SEBI chairman, M Damodaran during his welcome speech earlier in the day while extending his sincere thanks to the Maharashtra government for making available sufficient land for the construction of 'SEBI Bhawan'.
The building has been constructed by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) on a turnkey basis. The building has been planned as an 'intelligent building' with state-of-the-art facilities and green building' features. The integrated building automation system monitors fire safety, security and also facilitates optimisation of energy consumption and environmental conservation.
