JK Govt urges people to take steps to prevent dengue

Jammu, Oct 6 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government today appealed to the people to take all precautionary measures in view of the confirmation of one dengue fever case in Poonch district in the state.

Deputy Commissioner directed all heads of educational institutions to order their students to wear full-sleeved shirts, trousers, shoes and socks to avoid mosquito bites and to prevent spread of the viral disease.

The Chief Education Officer (CEO) has been directed to ensure that the order was being implemented in letter and spirit by all the educational institutions of the district.
