Hooda greets people on Valmik Jayanti

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today extended his greetings to the people on the eve of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.

In a message, he said Maharishi Valmiki preached simple living with high moral character and his teachings were more relevant in the present day context.

Mr Hooda said that people should learn from the philosophy of Maharishi Valmiki and work in close unison for peace and prosperity.

Such festivals strengthen the cultural fabric of the nation and help in maintaining communal amity, he added.
