Haryana asks for drug, equipment to tackle dengu
Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) The Haryana government has urged the Centre to provide equipment and drugs to control the spread of Dengue fever which has affected over 35 people in the state.
The state goverment has asked for five vehicles mounted with fogging machines and 50 manually operated fogging machines, three metric tonnes of Malathion and material for testing of Dengu cases, Haryana Health Minister Kartar Devi said.
The Minister, who had attended a meeting of Health Ministers of dengue-afected States convened by Union Health Minister A Ramadoss, said she urged Mr Ramadoss to get these items supplied to Haryana expeditiously.
She said a state level control room had been set up at Panchkula in the office of Director, Health Services (Malaria) and also in all offices of Civil Surgeons at district level to monitor the situation about cases of dengue daily.
